Episode 79: Bad Cookie vs. Body Horror

For this episode we welcome the team behind Vancouver based Bad Cookie Pictures, Ariel Hansen and Topher Graham, to talk all about their short films “Ready to Burst”, “Paint the Town Red”, and “The Man in the Rabbit Mask” as well as all their upcoming projects and how they ended up in the horror game in the first place.

Then we invited them to join us in naming our favourite body horror films. The only guideline was: there wasn’t any! Meaning we all had very diverse lists that included some films you might have expected, some surprises, and even a little bit of the old A2M. WARNING: things might get a bit raunchy at times!

Episode 78: Scream Factory

Being big collectors and supporters of physical media, we here are GBW have decided to discuss another distributor of all sorts of genre gems on Blu-ray and DVD. This time out, it’s the much loved Scream Factory who have, over the last five years, delivered all sorts of horror goodness to our door from elaborate collector’s editions, to bizarre double features, and some obscure gems that have never been released on anything but VHS. We’ve chosen our top five favourite releases and will tell you all about them.

But first, we’re talking about what we’ve watched including a cute alien visiting earth, a hockey masked killer (in 3D!), one of the finest crime films of the 1990’s, Madonna’s most popular movie, and lots more!
