Episode 34: 2015 Recap

It’s a marathon of an episode for our first show of 2016! Your hosts, Chris and Josh, have seen quite a few movies since the last time we spoke and we tell you all about Don “The Dragon” Wilson’s ‘sweet ass’, take a trip on the Midnight Meat Train, get a little ass-to-mouth with the third Human Centipede, and so much more!

Then we dive into the past year as we look back at 2015. We list our Top 5 flicks of the year, some honourable mentions, 2015 stuff we’re still excited to watch, the TV shows that caught our attention, and films we’re excited to check out in 2016.

Episode 33: Brisson & The Bronx

It’s comics meets the post apocalypse as we welcome creator/writer Ed Brisson (Sheltered, Cluster, The Violent) to the show to talk about his career, influences and determination to get into the world of comic books. We discuss his beginnings as an indie filmmaker, writing a “Sons of Anarchy” spin-off, getting to live every comics fan dream of scripting Batman, and so much more!

For the second half of this episode we also gave Ed the chance to pick a movie for us to talk about and, much to our chagrin and (more so) delight, he chose the 1982 Italian knock-off, 1990: The Bronx Warriors. Take a journey with us into the futuristic 1990(!) world of New York where gangs roam the wasteland that is the Bronx as “Trash” (Mark Gregory) and his gang have to protect a misplaced heiress from other gangs and the malicious cop sent to bring her back to the safety of Manhattan. From director Enzo G. Castellari (Keoma, The Last Shark), this is Italian rip-offing at its finest.
