Welcome back to GBW where we’re talking sixteen movies including another David Lynch jam, tension on a submarine, two plucky women blackmailing crooks, Reb Brown doing what he does best (hint: screaming), two classics being watched for the first time, Charles Bronson protecting his melons, and so much more!

Sometimes you just want a popcorn movie and sometimes you want to walk out of a movie wondering just what the hell you saw. We have both instances of that on the latest GBW!

Amongst the fourteen flicks covered this time we get Lee Marvin teaching the way of the outlaw, a DVD box tricks us (this has never happened before), an 80’s slasher under “slashes”, a sea monster wreaks havoc, Hollywood is torn down by one of our true visionary directors, Brendan Fraser is back again to take on the undead, we learn what can happen if you don’t feel pain, and so much more!

This episode of GBW has multiple examples of when a movie has a pretty cool concept but doesn’t do nearly enough with it.

Aside for that, these sixteen films run a gamut from rip-off 80’s sci-fi, a 30-something cop going undercover in high school, one of the most miscast espionage thrillers ever, an odd choice for a disaster movie, a Lifetime movie with more grit than expected, two pals caught up in a crime scheme, the oddest Mill Creek entry yet, and so much more!

Night, Josh watches his first Fassbinder, and so much more!

This episode contains horror, has comedy, and a mixture of both as we cover 15 movies including two theatrical trips for PRESENCE and COMPANION, John Saxon hamming it up as a fantasy villain, a possessed (but cute) rottweiler doing some killing, another 80’s horror spoof that doesn’t really work, bank robbers trying to get the heck out of New York, a sort-of noir involving filmmaking, CG heavy alien invaders, a British gangster flick that keeps you guessing, and so much more!

Stunt casting is nothing new and a handful of the movies on this episode of GBW completely fall victim to this.

As 2024 comes to an end we here at GBW continue to get our fill of kung-fu, Roger Corman productions, and wacky kids movies. And we continue to share them with you.

This time our 16 films covered include a bizarre Canadian kids Christmas movie, two brothers trying to survive in East L.A., a 90’s neo noir you’ve not heard of, a sunbaked crime thriller that delivers the goods, Mickey Rooney going on an acid trip, an early De Palma thriller, Josh continuing his Jackie Chan journey, and so much more!

This episode of GBW we’re all over the place because, after the old saying goes, “variety is the spice of life”. Either that or we just like being thrown for a loop constantly.
